Uses for Hangers

Host Mary Ellen Pinkham talks about various types of clothes hangers and provides ideas for unique ways to use them.

Bend a metal hanger up at each end (figure A), and use it to hang a pair of shoes (figure B).
Use heavy wood hangers for hanging a suit. Use the clamp-style hanger for hanging suit pants.
Wood hangers are the top-of-the-line. Wooden shirt hangers are ideal for dress shirt.
The padded hanger is great for lingerie and fancy dresses.
A pants hanger with an adjustable arm is useful for more than pants. Use it to hang neckties and scarves.
Large plastic hangers are inexpensive and large enough to hold most clothes. The two notches on top of the hanger are great for holding strapped items of clothing.
Plastic hangers with the two clasps are great for hanging skirts. The skirt hanger can then be hung directly on the shirt hanger.
Use a wire hanger as a paper towel holder by cutting one end of the hanger and inserting the roll onto the arm.
