Protect pies from flies and fingers in a nightstand-turned-pie safe.
Materials:

nightstand
frame
2 hinges
magnetic clasp
copper sheet
scrap wood
knob
screws
punch
hammer
small brads
pencil

Steps:

1. Remove the nightstand drawers and stain or paint it as desired. Let dry.

2. Make sure the frame fits the front of the nightstand to use as a door. Paint or stain it as desired. Let dry.

3. Cut copper to the size of the frame for the face of the door. Lightly outline chosen design with a pencil. Use scrap wood and a punch to create the design.

4. Put the frame face down and set the copper sheet in place. Secure it with brads .

5. Screw the hinges to the side of the frame.

6. Attach one side of the magnetic clasp to the pie safe door (frame) and the other to the inside of the nightstand.

7. Lay the nightstand down and attach the door. Add a knob for easy opening.
